This time-travel graphic novel from Radical Press begins in the present day, when an underground Nazi city is found beneath Berlin. A missile fires out from it, harboring a 100% deadly disease. Everyone on the planet will be dead in a matter of days. So the government opens its Time-Bomb project and sends back a group of five highly trained military personal to prevent the missile from firing. However, rather than being sent back a few days they are sent back to 1940's Germany. They must not only get into the hidden city and disarm the deadly payload but get past all of the Nazis guarding it. Oh, and the mastermind behind all of this advanced Nazi technology is a familiar face to one of the soldiers.
This is an entertaining sci-fi action thriller, with your gung-ho characters. Two of them are recently divorced, which sets up some tension, and one of them falls in love with a German woman who helps them accomplish their mission. I kept on expecting one of those endings where they realize they are all the cause of their current predicament but the authors gladly sidestep this and throw in an unexpected turn involving Hitler, which I thought was rather cool. Recommended.
It's sort of like Tarrantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS crossed with Michael Crichton's TIMELINE.
