Author: W.D.Gagliani
This new werewolf book is like the tv series FOREVER KNIGHT, except that instead of the detective being a vampire he's a werewolf. But this similarity isn't a bad thing.
Nick Lupo, a detective with a haunted past, is a werewolf, ever since he was bitten by an accursed childhood friend. He's always tried to reign in this animal part of himself, by either taking off to a far off cabin in the woods or locking himself up in a barred room at the time of his 'change'. Yet, when a serial killer comes to town - and is leaving notes specifically for Nick - he tries to turn his curse to his advantage. For this killer has a tie to his past - and he has to discover who and what it is in order to save the humans he cares for.
Author Gagliani does a good job of keeping the story interesting, the pace quick, and creates some memorable characters. The serial killer villain is quite a nutcase. I can see WOLF's TRAP becoming the first in a series of 'Nick Lupo Adventures'. I would definitely read them.
