Dagon Horror Film Trailer 1
- Uxía Cambarro: Before you came, there had been no sacrifices for a year. Dagon needs her. Paul Marsh: Fuck Dagon! Uxía Cambarro: Yes!
[last lines] Uxía Cambarro: You are my brother. You will be my lover. Forever. Paul Marsh: [setting himself on fire] No possibilities. Uxía Cambarro: Pablo! No! No! No! [she drags him down into the sea where the flames are extinguished] Intertitle: "We shall dive down through black abysses... and in that lair of the Deep Ones we shall dwell amidst wonder and glory forever" - H.P. Lovecraft
- Is based on the story "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" by H.P. Lovecraft. The movie has been in various stages of production for well over 15 years.
Paul's shirt in the film indicates he is an alumnus of Miskatonic University, an institution that features prominently in H.P. Lovecraft's stories and one of the settings in Re-Animator (1985), the first Lovecraft adaptation by director Stuart Gordon, producer Brian Yuzna and writer Dennis Paoli.
Paul Marsh was written to be a Woody Allen-style comic hero.
Ezra Godden actually modeled much of his performance on Harold Lloyd, which was the source of the glasses.
Brian Yuzna was in his car once with his wife, Kathy, and they were stopped by a gunman. Although terrified, Yuzna grabbed the gun and started smacking the guy with it. They ended up fighting, and Kathy started hitting the gunman with her cellphone to get him off Brian. She said "I've got to get a bigger cellphone," hence the use of the line in the film, which the filmmakers felt was representative of heroics of ordinary people.
