More Movie Taglines:
- Ready for your deadtime story ?
- The Collector: Humans. You're not worth the flesh you're printed on!
Crypt Keeper: Fasten your drool cups, and ready your vomit bags! We're going to the movies! Frights, camera, action!
Uncle Willy: [drunk] Boy, listen to that thunder! God's doing some serious thinkin' tonight. I bet he's saying, "On second thought, maybe I shoulda given it all to the monkeys." Brayker: Maybe it's not too late.
Cordelia: Are my sheets done yet? Jeryline: They're downstairs. And I couldn't get all those stains out, either. Cordelia: Damn guacamole.
Brayker: [eating slop] You want some? Uncle Willy: Hell, no! I'm just thinking about how much better that stuff looked when it was roadkill.
- Brayker says he received the key from a soldier named Dickerson, a reference to director Ernest R. Dickerson.
Several concepts, such as the idea of shooting demons in the eyes to send them back to Hell, was later used by writers Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris, for their television series "Brimstone" (1998).
Originally intended to be the first installment in a trilogy of Tales From The Crypt movies.
Purposely released on Friday, January 13 because the Tales From The Crypt movies were originally to be tied with traditional "horror weekends" such as Friday the 13th or Halloween.
One of the protagonists, Wally Enfield, is a recently fired postal worker. The remaining protagonists find a large collection of guns in his home, realizing that Enfield intended to attack the post office. This is likely a reference to several real-life spree killings perpetrated by maniac postal workers.
