Movie Quote(s):
  • Zoe Owens: I really need this story, I mean look at the ratings! Sherman Moss: Yes look at the ratings, the ratings are high, half of the male population is staying up all night trying to figure out a way to get into your pants!
  • Zoe Owens: Come on Sherman, I want to do this story. Sherman Moss: Why? Zoe Owens: Because this is the first impact on my career. Sherman Moss: Why the hell do you think I sent you to do those swim suit shows? You've been with us exactly seven months. Zoe Owens: Well look at the ratings! Sherman Moss: Well of course! Half the male population of L.A. is staying up all night trying to get in your pants!
  • Zoe Owens: I will do it, until I get it right. Sherman Moss: That is the way you learn! What do you think I sent you to Beverly Hills for those roadshows? Why do you think I sent you to Pasadena for those swim suit shows? Zoe Owens: It's hard to describe how full filling Rose Gardens can be! Sherman Moss: Well you've only been with us exactly six months! Zoe Owens: Look at the ratings! Sherman Moss: Well of course. Half of the male population of LA is staying up all right trying to figure out a way to get into your pants!
  • Zoe Owens: And I am sorry I did'nt get your name? Detective Dave Mooney: This channel sucks!
  • Sherman Moss: I think I would rather see brains on the sidewalk, than those swim suit shows.
Movie Trivia:
  • Director John Cardos replaced Tobe Hooper during production.
  • The television station is KFVI. The last part "FVI" refers to this film's production company, Film Ventures International. When Shelley is by the movie theater at the beginning of the film, we can see three movie posters, Chi sei? (1974) (better known as Beyond the Door), Grizzly (1976) and _Power, The (1980)_. These films were produced by Film Ventures International.
  • "The Dark" was originally a zombie movie. After poor screenings, the studio tried to repackage it as science fiction by removing much of the zombie footage, freeze framing the monster during attacks, and adding laser beams emanating from it's eyes.
