Peter knew he was special, yet for him, nothing ever seemed to go right. He fought with his dad, got picked on by bullies and lacked the confidence to talk to girls. Then, one day a chance meeting with a guy named Eddie changed everything. Eddie gave Peter a mysterious box, which he said could transform his life. The next day, his claims began to be realized. Peter's premonitions grew stronger and he developed a corresponding ability to deal with attacks. Life was looking good as he began making new friends. He even had the courage to talk to the girl he liked. However, this gift soon began to take a darker turn. While Peter continued to handle escalating threats, there was a price, which more and more of his friends and associates had to pay. Peter's life began to spiral out of control and even as he tried to manage it he found himself ruled by the monster within.

Movie Quote(s):
- Adam: Just because we can't prove something, doesn't mean it's not true. Sometimes the sub-conscience and the metaphysical make more of an impact and are more real then anything we could ever prove.
-
Dad: If you don't come pick this stuff up, I'm gonna sell it. You know I will. Probably go buy myself some sandwiches and, I don't know, maybe go get some potato chips, some soft drinks... some macaroni salad. That's what I'll do with the money. I'll go buy macaroni salad. I love macaroni salad.
-
Peter Stubbe: How did you get in here? Adam: What happened to you? Peter Stubbe: Ho... H... How did you get in here? Adam: I... You... I... there's a tear and... I... and bullets... and there's just a lot of blood... Peter Stubbe: No, how did you get in my house! Adam: I... the front door was open! I came in. I don't know why you're asking about that, because, you have bullet wounds. I don't know if you know that. Bullet wounds in your chest! And I just want to know what happened? Peter Stubbe: I... I got shot. Uh... three times. And I feel great. Not really.
-
Peter Stubbe: Why do these things always happen to me? Eddie: I'm sorry. Was that a rhetorical question? Peter Stubbe: Why? Do you have an answer? Eddie: Yeah. Because you let them.
-
Peter Stubbe: I was only trying to help people. And besides, this way, we can just get rid of all this mess and pretend like it never happened. Adam: You can't run away from your responsibilities anymore, Peter. Eddie: He's not running away from them, he's running towards them. How can he help anyone behind bars? Besides, he doesn't deserve to go to jail. He killed killers, how is that not justice? Adam: It's not justice because no crime was committed. Eddie: Preventative measures. Place a fence at the top of a cliff rather then building a hospital at the bottom.
Movie Trivia:
- On the first day of filming, the production almost got shut down. Fire fighters were conducting very noisy drills just down the street. Luckily, the filmmakers had their permits in hand and the fire fighters were very understanding.
-
The coffee shop in the movie has been shut down, repainted and is now a yogurt store.
-
Bayhawk Ale sponsored Within by donating ten cases of ale, which were used throughout the film. The cast thanks them.
-
Marco Duran used a great deal of mirrors throughout the movie in order to suggest the duality inherent in the Peter character.
-
The party in the movie got way too out of hand. By the end of the night the director and stars knew less than 40% of the people present. The bathroom was completely and disgustingly trashed. Ironic.
