Kevin J. Lindenmuth's second book on independent filmmaking is an invaluable read. We get insights on all his latest movie productions and how he financed and sold his productions internationally as well as chapter after chapter of interviews with other filmmakers (directors and producers) working in the business today. The majority of the book is compiled of filmmaker interviews, and each and every one of them is informative and entertaining. You'll also notice a lot of similarities in everyone's trials and errors---so take note, especially if you want to make a low-budget film. There's a foreword by genre king Fred Olen Ray and an excellent journal on the making of Lindenmuth's drama, WALKING BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS. This is an indispensable read for anyone who wants to make a low budget movie or for anyone who is just curious about what it takes to get one produced and distributed. Some of the filmmakers interviewed include John Bowker, Ronnie Sortor, Marcus Koch, Paul Talbot, and Brett Piper.A classy, first-rate film book, this is. Pick it up today.
