Yo, buried.com readers! OMV (OH MY VAMPIRE)! Happy freakin' Halloween! The hell with pumpkins...what more could a lil Vampire ask for than a house fulla blood this time of year? So, when I was pullin' out the DVD's, I got an insatiable craving for SLAUGHTER HOUSE. I was thinkin' sexy, tough, tortured Texas chicks and I started to salivate! I mean, the meat's pretty bloody in Texas, right? SLAUGHTER HOUSE is the creation of multi-talented writer, director and horror star, Parrish Randall. The film stars Shannon Casto, Brandi Getz, Katherine Cooper, POSSUM WALK peeps Brandy Eastman and Burton Bailey, Texas Frightmare Weekend's fave Loyd Cryer and Parrish Randall. That safe-house ain't so safe, cause Ms. Vampy's comin' for leftovers!

As a special trick or treat, here's a few notes from the SLAUGHTER HOUSE powerhouse himself, Parrish Randall:
"I shot the film in four days in keeping with the old Roger Corman filmmaking approach. I wanted to see if we could still make a film in that super short amount of time that would still tell a story with pacing that worked. I knew the film would suffer technically, but so did the old Corman classics...yet I and others love them still! Pure exploitation, grit and grindhouse, you know? I also deliberately cast actresses that were not size 0s or 2s."
That's right, Parrish! Who needs a size 0 when Ms. Vampy and her girls got curves in all the right places? :)
