This is a remake/sequel to the Herschell Gordon Lewis gore fest that is actually as enjoyable as that original movie. I was surprised. Robert England is well cast as the leader of the Southern town. Once a year they hold a barbecue/festival and allow some outsiders in so they can celebrate. Little do these visitors know, however, that they are on the main menu for that barbecue! The characters are likeable enough, there's a fair share of breastage and plenty of gore. That scene with the guy drinking the acid is nasty. Recommended.
