Most kids have imaginary friends during their childhood, but Joel Winters is not most kids. Joel is befriended by a hot ass Vampire chick named Rachel. After having a pretty fucked up childhood, wouldn't you know it, Joel grows up to be a serial killer. But, he feels that something is missing from his life (besides a few screws), it is his vampire friend. What better way to replace one hot vampire than with another hot vampire, which is what Joel does when he meets Angie at a club called 'The Hungry'. Now, two hot vampiresses in one lifetime sounds like a good deal to me, but these two blood sucking freaks are a little whacko. This indy psychological thriller from Kevin Lindenmuth takes you deep into the demented mind of a serious sociopath, almost too deep. More gore than you would expect from a thriller, especially a low-budget one, however..the nudity level is zero which was a little disappointing, given the lovely ladies that starred in this one. But, its saving factors is that it is well written and well acted, much more so than you would expect from an independent film. It just goes to show that you do not need a Hollywood budget to put out a good film.
