A group of friends, including a blonde and a fat guy who likes her, take a boating trip near the Antilles Isles. The main character is Liz (Jewell Staite of Firefly). The boat hits a submerged rock, the boat sinks, and they all survive to be washed up on a mysterious island. In the opening scene of the film we were introduced to this place, when in 1922 a group of explorers are being attacked and killed by something ferocious. Well, these vicious man-like creatures are still alive and begin to prey upon these new castaways.
This the typical "lost on an island" movie but what really stood out to me is how much this film is like The Lost Tribe--the evolutionary offshoot animal men look exactly the same, down to their dog-like heads. Also known as The Forgotten Ones.
