There are some extremely bloody murders in a California forest and a military unit goes in toe hunt down whatever is responsible. They need the help of a survivor of one of the attacks, a woman named Kate (Megan Malloy). Obviously, this is a sequel to a movie I've never seen, THE UNSEEN, which stars Richard (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) Hatch, though that's never indicated on the box synopsis. You realize this when they start using footage from that movie as flashback 'filler'. Lorenzo Lamas (who gets a credit as an Exec. Producer) has a role as a military guy who is hunting down this alien threat. He doesn't seem to be into the part too much and I suspect all his scenes were shot in a day or two. In fact, after the recent RAPTOR ISLAND and his starring in this horrible shark movie I've forgotten the name of, I think Lamas is becoming the next Lyle Waggoner of B Movies. Oh, Priscilla Barnes (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, THREE'S COMPANY) also has a role as the scientist who is studying these creatures. The plot deals with the survivor's survival, the interaction between the mismatched (and unlikely) army team, a fortune in gold which ties into the aliens. There's also a pickup truck painted bright green to double as an army vehicle. The most misleading aspect of this movie is the box art. The alien on the dvd cover looks nothing whatsoever like the alien that is in the movie. In fact, it looks a lot like the alien creature in Bill Malone's CREATURE. I usually enjoy the low-budget movies produced by David Sterling and directed by Jeff Leroy but this isn't one of them.
