This isn't that great of a movie, but for some reason I always have enjoyed this flick by Fred Olen Ray. It's silly as hell, but sure is a lot of fun! A comet (meteor?) hits a lake turning some boaters into fairly cool looking zombies and letting loose their ghastly wrath upon an unsuspecting town. The local game warden must now stop this alien-inspired zombie rampage. Everything here is done with a sense of humor and a fun time is had by all. There are a couple of naked swim scenes, some creepy undead chase action, and one of, if not the last screen role of Buster Crabbe, film history and trivia buffs take note. So Alien Dead ends up with the Crabbes and we the viewer end up having a fun old drive-in kinda time. Don't expect a bloodbath here, but there are plenty of cool scenes in this low budget flick. Sci-fi mixed with zombies, how could you not enjoy? Sure it's kinda cheesy and cheap, but fun...yes!
