Alien the fourth may be a bit derivative and predictable, hell, at times it feels like parts of all the others and then some, but it sure is fun. Ripley gets brought back to life and used as a baby alien breeder with some interesting side effects. She now is pretty much one with the creatures she's grown to hate and is downright mean in this one to boot. Hollywood's best looking shoplifter Wynonna Rider is looking cute here if not a little out of place. There's plenty of good things happening here and I think people cry about this movie too much. It is better than part three. The bugs here are smart, we get some good bloody, nasty moments, and some of Ripley's dialog and scenes are classic. Loved the part where she explains to the guy carrying a chest burster inside exactly what has happened to him and that she's the monster's mother. The Queen holding Ripley offers another touching moment. If this was the final, which I certainly doubt. Alien film, the series ended on an up note in my book. If not, the next one will have to be on par with the 1st two to be better. Swimming aliens rock!
