It's the future and the last of mankind lives in a domed city that depends upon androids to do most of the dirty work. The story centers around a human man who gets sent to a prison colony because he "killed" and android, which means they'll use him for spare parts, as the androids are partially organic. But the prison truck gets attacked halfway across the desolate landscape by rogue flying machines and he and an android (Joey Lawrence) have to band together to survive.
It's sort of like that Starbuck episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 1980, but not quite so entertaining.
Also, I think Joey Lawrence watched STARMAN a bit too many times while preparing for the role. All the other androids act like humans but he's the one who is supposed to be the most advanced, the most "human", but still walks and talks a bit stilted.
This is the future cyborg movie that Albert Pyun actually DIDN'T make!!
