John (Mark Strong) is a "psychic detective", who has the ability to enter people's minds and witness past events and an observer. He's recovering from the death of his wife when he takes a job to investigate a 16 year-old girl, Anna (Taissa Farmiga of AMERICAN HORROR STORY). Her parents think she may be a sociopath--and she may also be a murderer. It's an interesting story because you're never quite sure if she's sincere or manipulating the investigator. The movie does have a satisfying ending.
ANNA reminds me of a much more plausible/realistic version of the 80's movie, DREAMSCAPE. Recommended.
