The only relation this "remake" has to the original 80's Slasher movie is the title and that it revolves around April Fool's Day. Instead of the clever, fun film of the original, we have a tedious story that's more It's like they shot the script for CRUEL INTENTIONS 6 and decided to re-title it at the last minute.
The story is about a rich brother and sister who host a friend's "coming out" party, which they are using as a means to play a cruel joke on another young woman. Things don't go as planned and this person ends up dying. A year later someone is targeting these two and their friends, seemingly killing them off one by one. There is a "twist" at the end, which is totally expected.
This movie made me want to go back and watch the original instead.
