A decent mid 60's horror/sci-fi flick from Toho. No Godzilla, but plenty of very large fungi walking around to molest a shipwrecked group of tourists. The films' focus is more on the growing suspiciousness & paranoia of the castaways toward each other than the monsters. That's probably a good thing, cause the creatures are kinda goofy looking. Has it's moments though & is interesting enough to keep you awake. Perhaps the 'shrooms would have been more fun if the passengers had eaten them!
