This last Babylon Five movie takes place years after the war with the Shadow and sets up the events that lead to the short-lived spin-off series, CRUSADE (starring Gary Cole). Some other evil aliens have acquired weapons left over by the Shadows and are using them to destroy entire planets. President Sheridan and the others learn that their next target is Earth-and manage to disarm the huge planet killing machine-yet the unseen aliens launch a different sort of attack. It's a biological one, which, in several years, will start killing off all of humanity on Earth.New characters are introduced, such as Galen the techno-mage who is sort of a Gandolf-like character complete with a monk robe. And Serina, a golden eyed, wild-natured thief, is the last survivor of her planet, which was one of the ones destroyed.In the end they decide to launch the ship Excalibur into the reaches of space to find a cure-and that's exactly where the series CRUSADE begins.
