A U.S submarine, captained by Jeff Fahey, accidently passes through a rift in time which catapults them seventy years in the future. Here, he and his crew encounters a 1984ish police state run by Richard Tyson (THREE O'CLOCK HIGH) and a group of rebel fighters who oppose him. Of course, Fahey sides with the rebels-and discover that their leader is his own grandson, which causes some confusion, not to mention time paradoxes. They not only have to fight against the evil empire together, Fahey wants to return to his own time to help prevent this dismal future from happening. But if he does this he will be preventing the birth of his own grandson. Much of the movie is supposed to take place on the submarines and looks as if shot on the same set a dozen Corman produced movies have already been shot on-it never feels like a submarine so much as ann abandoned factory. In fact, this doesn't even feel like a real movie, just an unformed idea with a lot of stock footage.
