The best thing about this movie is its tag line: There are over 40 Million sheep in New Zealand and they're pissed off!' After reading that, the movie goes downhill.
As in 28 DAYS LATER well-intentioned animal rights activists unwittingly unleash a virus. It affects the sheep by making them very aggressive and meat-eating. Also, if someone is bitten by one of the sheep they start transforming into one of the creatures, so there's eventually these were-sheep running around, like the Big Baaaaaa-d Wolf. The main story concerns two brothers, one who is responsible for the genetic engineering experiments and the other who just came to collect his money, as he's terrified of sheep because of a bad childhood experience. The special effects are decent, particularly the giant monster sheep. But the movie is trying to be funny and quirky, like Peter Jackson's BAD TASTE, and it doesn't work. Overall, I give this a BAAAAAAA-D recommendation.
