It's California in 2049. "K" (Ryan Gosling) is a Blade Runner hunting down older replicants who have escaped years ago. The first we see if a guy working on a worm farm (Dave Bautista). It's at this point we realize that "K" is also a replicant-and we're shown how he lives, complete with a virtual female companion. Also, the society has changed for the worse, the landscape completely dead looking and towering, tombstone-like structures. "K" is ordered to find Reck Deckard (Harrison Ford), who had mysteriously disappeared thirty-years ago-and uncovers that Deckard and the replicant Rachel may have had a child, something thought to be impossible. Niander Wallace, the head of the company that makes replicants, wants this hybrid.
As with the first movie this is a very moody, slow-paced film- and it is a decent sequel to the original. Highly recommended.
