Global Warming has been deemed a reality. Janek and his faithful dog, Tinni, along with a group of other climatologists in the Swiss Alps, comes across a melting glacier that looks to be bleeding. What it is unleashing is a prehistoric micro-organism that can create a hybrid of two completely different species. Unfortunately for these scientists, this happens to be mammals and insects, which combine to make some nasty looking and ferocious monsters. One by one the scientists are slaughtered. Then, more people--including a politician visiting the site--show up. And when Janek's dog is bitten by a creature and infected--with a cocoon-looking growth quickly growing on his abdomen, he doesn't know what to do. Let's just say that what he decides lends to an extremely intriguing ending...
If you've been wanting to see the best "Monster Movie" this year, BLOOD GLACIER is it. This is like Carpenter's THE THING crossed with TREMORS: THE SERIES. Highly recommended.
