A father and his teenaged daughter move to a backwoods town and strange things start to happen. First of all, it seems that the townsfolk have the practice of human sacrifice, shown in the first scene when a father slays his daughter with a knife. Then, the white-cloaked figure appears, watching all these events. At first you think this is some kind of psycho, but when he starts floating through walls it really throws the viewer for a curve. It turns out that this 'being' is the town's god, which in turn is their own evil side. When the local preacher battles it 'to the death' he manages to kill it but dies in the process. When the hood is removed there's a surprising revelation. This is one hell of a creepy movie, reminding me of those Thomas Tryon movie adaptations, THE SECRET OF HARVEST HOME or THE OTHER, and it's not that often such low budget movies can pull this off. Directed by Josh Moyse.
