I found these twelve episodes not as great as the first dozen. Vicky and Henry continue to investigate supernatural cases and there's more of a triangle developing between Vicky, Henry, and Vicky's former police partner.
The woman who turned Henry into a vampire is introduced and she's posing as a photographer, a plot idea that I think was stolen by the more recent vampire detective show MOONLIGHT. It is too close for coincidence. The Incan Mummy episode is simply terrible and makes little sense on many levels. The Reincarnation episode, though, makes up for it. A sixteey-year old is determined to find the "love of his lives" and she's ten years older than him because his previous body was kept alive in a coma for a decade before he could reincarnate. So she came back first and married--and realizes she has a happy life, not fated to end badly. The boy, though, is convinced they are to be together and his Vicky and Henry to help him.
One thing that bugged me is that Vicky's vision problem is ignored for most of the season until the last episode when we're shown her point-of-view, which depicts that she can barely see. If this is the case she wouldn't have been able to function in the majority of the episodes.
Although the show doesn't end quite as depressingly as FOREVER KNIGHT, it still ends with a bummer. Henry decides to leave Toronto for the West Coast (Vancouver or Seattle) and her former partner loses his job for helping her one too many times. The last scene is them both walking out, leaving her in tears. Also, the demon Azaroth is freed.
