Purvis (David Arquette) and Buddy (Sig Haig of BEYOND ATLANTIS), two low-life criminals in the Old West, encounter a tribe of cave dwelling, cannibalistic Native Americans while pulling off their latest robbery. Buddy is killed but Purvis escapes and makes it to the nearby town, where he encounters sheriff Hunt (Kurt Russell). When a group of these townspeople are kidnapped by these cave dwellers it's up to Hunt, the town doctor and a few others to go and rescue them. But what they discover is that these beings aren't quite human...
This is a really odd movie. It has a great cast-Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Richard Jenkins and David Arquette-but it has a low production value, with the overall feel of a videotaped stage play. However, it's strange enough to check out and has one of the nastiest scenes I've witnessed in quite a while, when one of the victims is split in half like a pig.
