This movie by Ernest Dickerson (DEMON KNIGHT) was a big disappointment-I expected something other than another 'Nightmare on Elm Street' scenario.A group of young African Americans decide to repair an old, creepy looking brownstone and open up a dance club. But the problem is that it once belonged to Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dog), a local criminal, and that his body is buried there in the basement. Once they start working the spirit awakens-and wants revenge on the people who killed him. This includes one of the youth's parents.Jimmy Bones at first shows up as a ghost and in people's dreams-and also in the form of this nasty looking black dog. I think the only reason they put this dog in the script is because of the dog in Snoop. Sorry, just didn't work.Once people start being killed the flesh reappears on his bones and he starts going on his vengeance killing, taking them all to this version of hell that reminded me of the one seen in NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3. There's just not enough meat on these BONES.
