This is a creepy though somewhat ambiguous devil worshipper movie set in the Western United States. Ben, his blonde girlfriend Niki and his daughter Kiti are on vacation-and come across a crushed car and its dead occupants. They go to the nearby town to report this but everyone is acting very weird. In fact, many of the people try attacking them. They drive off-but on the outskirts of town they see a little girl standing in the middle of the road and they swerve to avoid her, damaging the car. When they get out there's no trace of the girl. So, back to town they go. It seems that no one has been able to leave the village for the past three days-and over sixty people have been slaughtered in that time (the families of the missing children). It turns out that a coven of devil worshippers are taking the kids in order to perform a ceremony that will transplant their evil souls into their bodies. When Kiti is taken the whole town searches for her before it's too late. Strother Martin (SSSSSS!) gives a great performance as Doc Duncan, who is also the evil leader of the Coven. This movie reminded me of ROSEMARY'S BABY and RACE WITH THE DEVIL. And any movie with Alvy Moore (Mr. Haney from GREEN ACRES) in it can't be bad.
