The Butterfly Effect is one of those films that I let sit on the video rental shelf for a long time before taking a chance on it... mainly because Ashton Kutcher played the lead. It was actually a free rental, so I figured what do I have to lose. After watching this, I was kicking myself for letting it sit there for so long unwatched. This dramatic tale involves a guy who has many memory lapses in his life that were important to his existence. He develops the ability to go back in time through his mind and right some wrongs and make changes in history. The improvements and discoveries that he makes in his life all end up going sour, thus he has to keep going back to change certain moments to try to get it right. It is a very interesting journey, one that we probably all wish we take do at one time or another.. until you see this film. I really enjoyed this movie and plan to watch it again. Coming in movie, I can safely say that I was not a fan of Ashton Kutcher at all. This performance went a long way in changing my mind.
