Candyman, candyman, candyman, candyman...uh.....candyland. There, I only said it 4 times, so stay in the ghetto from which you came brother. People always told me how scary this was and all, but I didn't feel like it was all rough. Had it's moments and Tony Todd does a great job with the part and the hook looks hot, but needed some more blood in my book. Virginia Madsen's titty's look good though and I love the part where she gets caught in the restroom by the thugs and he asks if she's looking for candyman bitch. Next scene she has a black-eye. The storyline behind Candy man is really the strong point though and does make it way more creepy than most movies like this. The inner city setting helps Candyman differ from most films of the genre and has it's own strange atmosphere. The films expands the Clive Barker short story it's based on really well. I just wanted more blood. This movie gained a good deal of popularity in it's time and spawned 2 sequels. A female friend of mine calls it her favorite horror movie. To each his or her own I guess. It really is an odd film and that lends to it's enjoyability. Tony Todd may be the biggest hooker I've ever seen.
