An ancient Egyptian mummy is accidently resurrected when a burglar steals the amulet from about its neck-and one by one everyone who comes into contact with the jewelry is killed...by a black cat. David Heddison (VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA), an archeologist, figures out that the mummy was actually a follower of the cat-god Bast, and that this individual, who has assumed the shape of a human, has the power to turn into a cat. In a scene that was ripped off by Stephen King's SLEEPWALKERS fifteen years later, the revealed Mummy is attacked by dozens of household cats in the end, who are attracted to this CAT CREATURE. Written by Robert Bloch and directed by Curtis Harrington, who also gave us THE DEAD DON'T DIE. Can be ordered from VIDEO DUNGEON.
