As far as giant animal/bug movies, this is a good one. First, there are no computer animated centipedes. Instead, we have miniatures and full-scale animatronics, which make the many legged creature seem far more real.A group of spoiled rich college graduates decide to have a last get together before they all go their separate ways. So they all go caving in this deep cave in India, where they encounter the giant insect far beneath the Earth. When an explosion collapses the entrance they have to find an alternate route to the surface, which leads them past the giant insect's lair. We're not certain if its enormous growth is due to the toxic waste leaking into the caverns or if it's just a giant species. The ending goes on a little bit too long, which bugged me. Otherwise, CENTIPEDE an entertaining , old fashioned monster movie.
