In order to prevent a full-scale war, a small Asian Country and the U.S. decide is to have "surrogates" fight it out--one man from each side. On the American side is Jacob Gallery (Darren McGaven of the original THE NIGHT STALKER), a dishonorably discharged soldier who will do anything it takes to win (that's why they picked him). On the Asian side is Yuro (MAKO of the original CONAN THE BARBARIAN). They are both armed with machine guns and the American proceeds to poison all the fresh water. There's a lot of back and forth between the two combatants and the U.S. government, which feels like they are just padding out time.
I thought this was a great idea--but the execution of it is poor. Maybe that's why the director credit is "Alan Smithee".
