Young Tommy is tormented by his classmates. They steal his shoe and won't give it back, branding him with the nickname ONE SHOE MCGROO. Being from a very poor family, Tommy is forced to go shoeless as the mean kids continue to make him the butt of all their jokes!All poor Tommy wants for Christmas is a new shoe but instead, he gets a toy pirate eye patch(!). Devastated by this horrific gift, Tommy runs away into the woods and isn't seen for years. However, each and every Christmas season, some of Tommy's teasing classmates start turning up dead. Is Tommy slowly stalking them all, Jason Vorhees-style, during this otherwise happy season? So goes the story of CHRISTMAS SEASON MASSACRE...(and I thought the killer's motivations for murdering were a little weak in VALENTINE!) This movie reminded me of some of those zany 80's horror/comedy flicks (you know the ones: the type with the stereotypical jock, slut, nerd, and the token-gimmicky SERIAL KILLER trying to off them all) like CHEERLEADER CAMP and MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH with a bit more slapstick added in.CHRISTMAS SEASON MASSACRE has some extremely gory scenes (great opening sequence where the guy's guts are pulled out!) but never really finds its tone. Is it a spoof? Is it a slasher flick? Is it a comedy? There were times when I didn't know whether to cringe in fear or cry out with laughter. Maybe that's what the director intended? Anyway, not a bad flick! The DVD contains 2 commentary tracks, trailers, behind- the-scenes footage, a short film, and a hilarious cameo appearance by filmmaker Eric Stanze (cool death there, too, where he gets his, er, manhood ripped off by the one-eyed, one-shoed weirdo!) Pick up a copy today!
