The Last film of stop motion FX master Ray Harryhausen is an awesome mix of Greek myths. This film had a hell of a cast to go along with its' cool creatures. Burgess Meredith, Laurence Olivier, and Ursula Andress try and help Harry Hamlin during his quest. The film is good in all aspects, but really the creatures are the main highlight and all are very cool. You get Medusa, a Kraken, Peagusus, and many more to bring life to the myths that they've been culled for this film. Clash is more fantasy than horror, but with some many cool monsters, it seems fitting to be included around these parts. If you like mythology, this films is a must see just for the way it breathes life into these ancient stories. Harry Hamlin seems a bit overwhelmed by it all, but who wouldn't be? It almost has an epic feel, hell maybe it is an epic film looking back. Now that crappy cgi and digital FX can be used by anyone, stop motion may seem outdated to some, but really it took a hell of a lot more talent to do this than to make any Jurassic Park film. Don't think so? Try making a flying horse out of clay and then moving it frame by frame and see how easy it is. Clash may be a last great hurrah to a lost art.
