It's a few years after the events of the last movie. Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) have just finished dealing with the Amityville house. Ed's on a talk show, where he's accused of being a fraud. Meanwhile, a lower-income family in London is having ghost problems, which are quickly escalating. By midway through the movie Ed and Lorraine travel there and see what they can do to help. This all ties in with visions of an evil nun that Lorraine has been having. It turns out that the family is being plagued by a demon and is using the previous tenant's ghost to help do his bidding. One particularly apparition is "The Crooked Man", which looks like something out of a Guillermo del Toro movie. This is as good as the original movie. Highly recommended.
