This 4th installment is all about rebellion as Zira and Cornelius's super intelligent chimpanzee son grows up to lead the apes against man's heavy hand. The future looks bleak for all, as man sucks, apes are used as slaves, and everyone wants to find that talking, genius monkey. Good thing Mr. Rourke, Ricardo Montalban has raised the chimp well and helps keep him out of danger as much as he can. The apes rally by film's end and overthrow their misguided human masters causing war and hate n both sides. The time of the apes has arrived! This is a cool film, which raises some pretty heavy thoughts on man's treatment of animals, slavery, and war. How can you go wrong with Roddy McDowell in a monkey suit?
