Jena Malone stars as Emily Rasmussen, a young woman who is pregmant with an illegitimate child, who returns home to her family's farm. Her mother had died, so she's there with her father - and there's definitely some potential incestuous vibes there. Their farm raises sheep and the herd starts acting strange because of a strange new weed which is growing in the neighbors corn crop. It's an experimental crop, able to resist pesticides, but it also created this new plant, which the sheep love to eat - and which causes them to get violent. It also seems to be killing the children of women who have eaten the sheep meat. The movie goes back and forth from the scientists who created the corn to what's going on with Emily. I liked the first half of the movie, as it seemed to be building up to something horrific, like ISOLATION, but halfway through it turned into much more of a crusade type of movie in which Emily is warning everyone that the sheep are poison.
