I found this somewhat disappointing, as the majority of the BBC sci-fi shows I've been viewing lately are quite good. This is mediocre.
The premise is that the Science Officer of a police station has a working time machine, which was left to her by her scientist father. She helps her friend--and detective--to help solve crimes. The first episode has them nabbing two different killers. The time machine itself is a collection of machinery in one of her apartment's rooms and it transports anything in that room backwards in time. They can't go forward in time because it doesn't exist yet.
I'm a sucker for time-travel stories but CRIME TRAVELLER is neither fun nor interesting.
