David Reynolds (Peter Facinelli of NURSE JACKIE, TWILIGHT) goes to Colombia to pick up his teenaged daughter, who has been visiting her aunt (his deceased wife's sister). Along with him is his fiance (Sophie Myles of the TV vampire series MOONLIGHT). On the way to the airport they are joined by the aunt and also the daughter's boyfriend. They get caught in a flash-flood in the mountains and the car is flipped over and the fiance is injured. Fortunately there is an old inn nearby, though the old innkeeper is creepy and seems reluctant to help them. Soon, they find out why. There's a girl locked in the basement--and they decide to help her. Of course, this is a horrible mistake because there's a reason she's locked up--she's possessed by a demon. And once free, the demons begins messing with this group of people.
Although the movie has great production value and a solid cast, I found the demon possession story VERY familiar--and I was quite bored of the whole scenario. Recommended if you've never seen a demon movie before. AKA Gallows Hill.
