Although this movie has some of the stereotypical elements of a vampire film, such as "The Master" and the vampire hunter and a disbelieving police force, it offers some very entertaining scenes and, overall, is a decent vamp flick.
A cowboy hunter is after the vampire who had abducted his sister and it just happens that his vampire brood was created in the 70's, so they're all dressed in disco outfits (the movie could easily be retitled DISCO VAMPIRES). In the best scene, they all enter a motorcycle bar, thinking it to be a disco. A disco had been there, upstairs, but had closed thirty-years before. However, they go up to the abandoned disco studio, which still has all the lights, and start dancing around, ending their disco romp by killing all those people in the bar.
As with vampire films (ever since FRIGHT NIGHT) since the 80's, these creatures get the bumpy forehead and slightly bat-like face when they are in vampire mode. The master vampire is all grey and looks more like a shriveled zombie than anything else.
The cast is mostly from ZOMBIE PLANET 1 & 2 and the running time is over two hours long (!!!!). If you're a fan of the BLACULA movies you'll dig this independent horror film.
