The newest movie from prolific director/producer Charles Band is a winner and manages up to come up with yet another weird type of killer doll. This time the culprits are Worry Dolls, these small, one-inch sized figures that you're supposed to put under your pillow and they take away your worries at night.
The story takes place in a women's detention center, where a young woman is serving a sentence after taking part in a convenience story robbery. During a visit, her daughter gives her a container of Worry Dolls and she puts them under her pillow that night. But what happens is they crawl into her ear and start controlling her behavior. Yes, she wakes up without any worries, but she's a lot more aggressive, particularly to the women gang that rules the place. A blemish starts growing in the middle of her forehead, and it gets bigger and bigger as the day goes on, until it finally pops and we see that the skeleton Worry Doll is inside, sort of riding her around. It's unsettling.
Don't worry, you'll enjoy this movie.
