This killer scarecrow movie sucked, definitely the worst of the scarecrow sub-genre. A young man, who looks like the kid from MARRIED WITH CHILDREN, inherits an old farmhouse from his biological father. The place has been vacant since the late 30's and is in surprisingly good condition. He goes up there with a bunch of friends (excuses for the scarecrows to kill) and they soon discover that his great-great grandfather had been up to no good. During the Depression, when everyone was having poor crops, this guy always had a great harvest. But this was because he sacrificed people for his land. Now, all those he had killed are coming back for revenge on the great-grandson.The zombie/scarecrows are lame, with these dried up looking skull faces. But when they get injured they bleed, which makes no sense. Also, how can you kill something that's already dead? Their strength seems to vary, as well. In one scene one of the creatures punctures a knife through a door, injuring one of the friends-but later on can't open a rickety looking barnyard door. All the actors are clearly amateurs. It's hard to believe that Lion's Gate picked up this clunker for distribution.
