This reminds me of a cartoon version of GALAXY OF TERROR. A deep space mining company finds an alien constructed object on a desolate planet. The ship takes a chunk of the planet for its ore and unleashes these manta-ray like aliens that then infect and transform nearby colonists into zombie-like, tentacled creatures. Tentacles are creepy. Of course, the surviving crew has to prevent these aliens from spreading to other human colonies. There's not much that's new here but the pace is quick and there's plenty of gore.
