I was very surprised at how gory this movie was. It has some very intense scenes that really help out it's spotty plot. The writer character in this film really gets the shaft on all fronts. Wife's a coke whore, kids are brats, career going to shit, & finally loses his youngest child to an accident influenced by one of his films. Sounds like time to get the short rope & a tall ladder. Strangely, most of the horror element of this thing is in flashbacks from the writers' stories and films.
