I simply did not like this movie, primarily because it blatantly rips off two of my favorite movies-RACE WITH THE DEVIL and THE HILLS HAVE EYES. And it doesn't even rip them off well!The movie starts off with two lesbians with car trouble-a hooded guy with these hooks attached to his arm comes out of nowhere and kills them.Then we go to a bunch of really irritating twenty-year-olds who are travelling in a big mobile camper. After ignoring the warnings of a crazy looking gas station stop owner (how many times have we seen this?) they, of course, get stranded down the same desert road. Some of them wander off into the nearby rocky hills, to get killed, one of them walks back to the store for help, only to get killed, and the others stay, to possibly get killed. Eventually the cannibalistic killers show up at the trailer-all looking way too young and too clean to be inbred hillbilly cannibals. In fact, the main bad guy, who is bald, has this fake blonde hair glued to the sides of his face and to his eyebrows, which looks really really bad. I mean, the other makeup effects were decent-why is this particular one so awful? I mean awful!The last fifteen minutes or so of this movie pick up the pace-but as I said, it blatantly rips off these other movies from the 70's and doesn't do it nearly so well.What were these filmmakers thinking? Or not thinking? Another crappy horror movie made by THE ASYLUM, those people responsible for those godawful SCARECROW movies...Avoid! Avoid!
