Three long-time friends play an internet game called 'The Pathway', which has them do various things, such as the girl having quick sex with someone or a guy provoking a fight. This is relayed via a phone call, which often berates them into doing the task. The voice on the other end also sounds very much like their own voice, which is weird.First one of them dies, then another, leaving the survivor (Jensen Ackles of SMALLVILLE, DARK ANGEL) wondering if it's going to happen to him next. He also has these 'waking nightmares', which seem to come true. He soon discovers that everything in his life, including the seemingly random meeting of Marisol (Shannyn Sosaman of KNIGHT'S TALE, THE ORDER), is not so random. And Satan him/herself may indeed have something to do with it all.DEVOUR plays along the lines of a cross between ANGEL HEART, FEARDOTCOM and MAZES & MONSTERS. It doesn't add anything new to the genre but the cast is good, the acting solid and the special effects (particularly of the devil) are excellent
