This wonderful entry into the much misunderstood slasher film sub-genre of horror films delivers the goods with a wonderful woodsy flavor. Maybe it's the F13 fan inside me, but just about any killer-in-the-woods flick will hold my attention. Don't does it well and in brutal fashion as a maniac living alone in the woods takes out anyone stupid enough to get close to his perceived territory. This guy lives like some kinda wild man alone in the woods and killing off what he can to survive. There's no big shock once you find out what's going on here folks, but it sure is a fun ride getting there as this mountain man slays. Why couldn't those poor kids just stay out of the woods? Well, I'm sure glad they didn't. Good body count, gore, simple plot, and few decent looking chicks add up to fun my book. Nothing ground breaking here, but plenty to enjoy. The video boxes for this movie always leave out the ...Alone part for some reason, who knows why? Don't is just one more reason not to, so stay outta the damn woods, ok?
