I 'm fairly certain this movie needs no introduction, however, since I watched it again last night, might as well write nice things about it! I guess most people call it a minor classic (a major for many gorehounds) & so do i! Any movie that has cannibal gut munching, zombie flesh eating, & zombies vs. cannibals (who I might add are scared shitless of the walking dead) cannot be anything but the truth brother, amen. Add to this nudity(that always adds browneye, I mean brownie points for me), a wacko dr., & a halfway decent story & there's not much more you need. This one is about as graphic & bloody as anything out there & way ahead of it's time when made in the late 70's, the golden era of ultraviolent movies to me! My favorite scene is the poor old zombie getting his ass kicked by an outboard boat motor, cool shit! Good effects abound in this fun film that you need to see or see again if you have before. It gets better with age, trust me! Also, try & get your ass a copy of Zombi Holocaust, the alternate version which has slightly different stuff in it & at times seems like another movie. You'll be glad you did!
