Everyone's favorite bloodsucker is back. That's right you teeny bopping freaks, Dracula is still alive and kicking in the new millennium. No doubt about it, this one was geared towards the hip teen mall crowd... but my old ass was still able to find some entertainment value in it. After all, the Dracula legend is even older than me... its true. In this new Dracula flick, the bloodsucking prince of darkness has been released again. This time, he is looking for a specific neck to bite, that of the daughter of the man who raked him over the coals a century earlier. He makes his way to N'Oleans in search of the girl, along the way taking out a few folks. Bloody gras ensues as the vamp and his entourage take their toll on the bayou. Despite the obvious pandering to the kids, this film did have some good points. The best coming in the form of the new twist on the origin of the famed vampire. As you would expect with a Dracula movie, this one came with a good amount of blood. As you would expect with a Dracula movie aimed at the new generation of fans, it came with no nudity. All in all, it was a decent effort and is worth a rental, even by us old schoolers.
